After installing Hardwar, Users of Windows XP might encounter some problems when running the game. However, I can only speak for my case, i.e. Direct3D. For 3dfx users, visit Captain Zedo’s 3dfx Workaround Guide.
In my case, running Hardwar after installing it results in flickering graphics (e.g. the monitor repeatedly switches between the game and the desktop for a split second), while clicking the mouse minimizes the game window. Enabling Win98 compatibility for hardman.exe or the main Hardwar .exe file won’t do the trick, I found out.
If you’ve got the same problem as mine, just download the U2.04 patch and upgrade your Hardwar installation. You can find the patch at Captain Zedo’s download page. The patch should solve the problem.
